The first ever homepage for ESTonian national brands

George Riik built the first steam mill in Tartu which  was the beginning of industrial flour production in Estonia in 1885. By 1919 daily flour production capacity was up to impressive 36 tons. The mill got nationalized in 1940 and become a part of the Integrated Flour and Bread Plant. It was renamed as Tiigi Mill later on this year. Germans detonated its elevators in 1944. Two years later elevators got lifted up and production continued. As our independence was regained the mill got privatized in 1994 and has been modernized many times since. Tartu Mill has a great selection of flour and pasta products available in Estonia and also exports them to our neighbour countries.
