First prototypes of ultracapacitors were made in 2010 and by 2011 they had already their first big customer - European Space Agency. Commercial series were made by 2012 and in 2013 Skeleton Tech had their first investor on board - UP Invest. The total investment into company is over $18M today. A brandnew manufacture was opened at Viimsi in 2014 and the year 2015 brought them the best startup award from Ecosummit. Manufacturing starts at bigger scale in Germany in 2017. Skeleton Technologies is the World's leading company in ultracapacitor-based energy storage today.
